It seems like I have now moved to phase II of the flu: the bad coughing. It's a harsh, dry cough, and I can't stop COUGHING! And I still feel like shit. And now my abdominal muscles are screaming because I've been coughing for 24 hours straight. Oh lord, this sucks.
I took a bunch of Nyquil earlier this evening, and it did to me what every other alcoholic beverage does to me- I zonked out for about an hour. Then I woke back up, wide awake but still half drunk. And have no fear, my darlings- I didn't OD on the Nyquil. I am so pathetic in my non-drinking ways that 2 tablespoons of Nyquil makes me buzz. Yeeeah.
So here I am. It's 2:35 AM, and I decided to come sit in front of the computer for a bit so I wouldn't wake up Husband with my coughing. And poor Husband- he took very good care of me this weekend. He was like a nurse, wielding boxes of tissues and water and chicken noodle soup. Oh, and also the surprise of Season One of Mad Men on DVD, so I can watch it while I'm feeling feeble.
He's the best. He usually ignores me when I'm sick. He's a typical guy: guys like to "fix" things, and there is no fixing a Lupus flare. There's nothing he can do for me when I'm sick from something Lupus-related except to pat my head and just let me sleep. So I think he's kind of excited that he actually knows what to do for a cold. Or maybe he knows that I'm highly contagious and that I will likely be taking care of him a few days from now. Hmm, maybe.
I just have a few things to post. I will start with the most important: it appears that Revolve Clothing just added a bunch of new markdowns to their sale section. Hooray! Use code "NOTCOTLOVESREVOLVE" for an additional 25% off.
And since I can never resist a sale, I grabbed a few things. I wonder if this is similar to drunk shopping. I am shopping while hopped up on too much cold medication, and it's kind of sad, but oh well whatever. That "SUBMIT" button is just so much easier to press when you are too tired/too overly-medicated to think about it. First are the L.A.M.B. Mitaka's in Gray:
They ended up being $120 and some change after discounts, down from $330.o0. Oh hells to the yes. I had originally wanted these babies, the L.A.M.B. Fen Button Pumps in Red, but my size was gone. Bummer:
So pretty. I'm sad I couldn't get them. I just love platform pumps. I have finicky feet that typically hate high heels (even though I love them so!) but platforms really help, so there isn't so much strain between the heel and the ball of the foot. They make the higher heels wearable for me, and being that I'm only 5'2"- I need all the extra height I can get.
So I then grabbed these Rachel Pumps (in Magenta/Black) from Miss Sixty:

And they ended up being around $49.00 after discounts, down from $129.
And last but not least- I received the Testament top from Revolve on Thursday and quickly snapped a pic that day. It's a darling little top- and I can't believe I snagged it for only $32:
Back I go to bed, so I can cough all over husband some more. Wee!
