Color Palette #18 :: Vegas Boneyard

A friend of mine once asked me, "If people spend months saving to go to Hawaii for vacation, where do the Hawaiians go?" Easy. Vegas.

I love Las Vegas, no matter the time of day or season, and I particularly like walking around downtown versus the Strip. Some people may say Vegas looks tired during the day, but I like it; she's earned her wrinkles and I think the laugh lines look good.

Next time I go, I'd love to visit the Vegas Boneyard and see some of the hotel signs from old-time Vegas. The Boneyard is part of the Neon Museum Las Vegas, and "is home to some of the most treasured and world-famous signs of Las Vegas—Caesars Palace, Binions Horsehoe, Golden Nugget, Silver Slipper, and, most recently the Stardust. The three-acre Neon Boneyard houses more than 150 historic, non-restored signs.  As part of our guided tours, the signs are available to be viewed at ground level and up close." Awesome.
